Five Phones Lost, Five Phones Found (and a Running Joke at Vodafone)

Some people collect stamps. Pierre collects lost phones.

Originally from France, Pierre spent fifteen years living in London before settling down in Lisbon — a city he calls “the perfect mix of chaos and charm.” But there’s one little problem: he keeps losing his phone. Not once, not twice… but five times.

And here’s the twist — he’s recovered every single one, thanks to FindR.

“At this point, it’s almost part of my personality,” Pierre laughs. “I’ve lost five phones, and FindR brought them all back.”

His most recent adventure took place in Lisbon, after a lively night out in Bairro Alto. Between the laughter, the vinho verde, and a few new friends, his iPhone vanished. Again.

The next morning, rather than panicking, Pierre simply opened his laptop.
He already knew the routine.

An email was waiting:
“Hi Pierre, this is João from the bar. We found your phone — it’s safe behind the counter.”

The bartender had noticed the FindR sticker on the back of the phone, scanned it, and reached out directly. Within an hour, Pierre was walking back through the door, phone in hand, smile on his face.

But the story doesn’t end there.

At this point, Pierre has become a regular at his local Vodafone store, where he’s had to buy five new SIM cards over the years. The staff now know him by name — and laugh every time he walks in.

“It’s become a running joke,” he says. “Every few months, I show up and they say, ‘Pierre, not again!’ We even took a photo together last time.”

It’s a story that perfectly captures the spirit of FindR: technology that works, powered by human kindness and a sense of humor.

“FindR is my safety net,” Pierre admits. “It’s helped me more than once — and maybe saved my reputation too.”

Because sometimes, losing something isn’t the end of the story — it’s the start of a good one.

FindR — because every lost thing has a story.
