Lost iPhone 15 in Lisbon, Lizzie’s FindR Story at Kabuki

Lisbon has a rhythm of its own — steep streets, tiled walls, the scent of the ocean, and music spilling out of every doorway. For Lizzie, who was visiting from California, it was supposed to be a perfect night out: dinner at Kabuki, one of Lisbon’s coolest restaurants, followed by a few drinks in Bairro Alto.

But somewhere between the sushi, the taxi, and the laughter, her iPhone 15 — worth $1,299 — disappeared.

“My iPhone ran out of battery… and I wasn’t sure if I’d left it at a club or a restaurant,” she told us.
“I couldn’t track it because the phone was dead.”

With her phone switched off, Apple’s Find My feature was useless. Lizzie had no idea where to start.

She got back to her Airbnb, trying to stay calm, when a new email appeared on her MacBook.

It read: “Hello Lizzie, this is Gerald from Kabuki Restaurant. We found your iPhone and left it at the entrance desk.” Gerald, the restaurant manager, had spotted the FindR sticker on the back of her phone. He scanned the QR code, got her contact info, and reached out within minutes.

“The restaurant emailed me saying they were holding my phone at the reception,” Lizzie recalled.
“I took a taxi back there and picked it up. I was very grateful they made the effort to find me.”

Her phone was waiting for her, safe and sound behind the counter. She couldn’t believe how fast — and easy — it had all happened.

Later, she reflected on what made this moment special:

“Typically, an Apple product could be retrieved with the Find My app — but in this case, I see how FindR is extremely valuable for items that aren’t electronic or can’t be AirTagged.”

That night, FindR turned what could have been a travel nightmare into a story of honesty, technology, and simple human kindness.

“Best souvenir from Lisbon? Definitely my phone… thanks to FindR (and the world’s coolest restaurant manager).”

FindR — because every lost thing has a story.
